Cool seeing the Bold 9900 still being used in government well into 2020. Way to go Doug Ford! Premier of Ontario Still Rocking Bold 9900-adjustments.jpg

Proable a lock down device he is required to use....

Note like he was a big cell phone user... wasn't there a big story about him canceling his personal cell phone because of too many calls.

BIS/BES is still working with some carriers.... but BBOS has a number of known vulnerabilities, there is no way a 9900 would be setup for "him" to use like a BlackBerry of old would have been.

From that photo... not sure if it's even a BlackBerry.

Based off the photo in this thread it is a 9900, but he evidently also has some other slab at his disposal.

Could it be he knows that even BB10 is not really secure, only previous versions? Nah!

just pulled my old bold out of storage to charge up. Battery would not take a charge so it's just a paper weight now, though a beautiful one

Funnily enough I had mine out the other day. What a lightning fast boot-up compared to BB10, and ergonomics for one handed use are still unbeatable.

Ha! I shouldn't venture a foggy clue of a notion as to use case of Ontario's Premier...?? Lol I WILL relate that for maintaining 24/7 real time availability, THIS Bold has proven virtually irreplaceable. Imo. Fwiw.

Agent99 never exits my proximity. Rarely leaves hand... Frequently sleeps in hand when expecting contact... vibration might wake me without disturbing wife... She hears it anyway. Lol.

Agent99 can remain on-the-job 24/7 partly because she's almost never tethered to a wall for electron nourishment. Powered exclusively thru batt swaps. 2min, 40sec to boot after swap. Dedicated batt chargers tether to a wall so she don't have to perform mundane charging duties. Lol. Batteries demand 5 seconds for swap. 10 seconds for single hand swap. Lol.

Typing this with ten year old Agent99... While right hand preps fresh batch of coffee... And lives a life.

Keyboard swap takes 5 minutes while sipping coffee. She's needing a fresh KB. Again... Lol.

Dug my old 9900 out a few months back now. Battery completely dead. Found a new one on eBay and it still boots up fine. But unfortunately that's about all it will do these days. Still looks good though in mint condition with the faux leather back door.
