I don't know what it is, but I have this gut feeling that RIM is gonna come out BIG this year at CES.
Here's a few predictions (and hopes) of what RIM might bring to the table:
1) PlayBook will be hands-on. There won't be too many apps, but users will be able to browse the web and showcase the multimedia capabilities.
2) RIM will demonstrate how the PlayBook will sync with BlackBerry smartphones. It will finally show us what Mike meant when he said BlackBerry "amplified".
3) 3 or 4 new phones will be announced. A CGI video (like the one for the PB during WES) will be played to show off QNX on BB's. These phones will be released in May 2011.
4) BlackBerry Protect will be released at CES.
5) A new BBM will be demoed. It will feature a rich, integrated music app within BBM itself. Friends will be able to see which songs are on their friend's BB's and contacts will be able to exchange songs or albums, and see what their friend's are listening to.
3 seems unlikely and I wouldn't expect 5 ro ever happen. It would be a hassle for them to protect copyrighted content. If it happens now, they're at least not a party to the transfer as opposed to if they made software that allowed for easy/convenient sharing of music.
There are so many speculations and predictions of technology experts regarding CES 2011 in Las Vegas (Jan 6 Jan 9).Many latest gadgets are going to be launched by renowned tech companies. RIM and Google are introducing their Tablet Computers Black Berry Play book and Android 3.0 Honey Comb Tablet.
