Yup that's what we said going from 4-5 right? MicroUSB way more universal 95% of accessories work for every device

And guess what with that "fingerprint scanner" they gave the middle finger to full body case makers like LifeProof and Otterboxes Defender and Armour series

    Because that's keeping standardized

And I bet they still outsell blackberry by multiples.

did we break the record for apple related threads after iphone annoucement yet?
Nah, seems like a pretty average day on CB.
Only about 18 new threads about Apple in the past couple hours. I think there was a fair bit more last year. Although people might be smartening up a bit around here.

Plus hurds is gone, so that cuts out about a dozen threads right away.

Sure, but that only reinforces my point. A change in design is fine if it serves a purpose. But to change the design just for the sake of changing and looking different is just silly.

There was no middle finger. A functional feature dictated the change. Without that functional change, there'd be no reason to.

To be fair, I expect there will also be "final nail for bb", "BlackBerry not even CLOSE to this innovation", "who could ever pick bb10 over this?!" type of threads.

    Posted via CB10
Anything Apple does is not innovative. It's just revolutionary. Fingerprint scanning has already been on Androids before they even thought up the idea. Only thing I say is innovative would be the 64 bit they added. Even with a 32 bit I still think BlackBerry would run just as fast not by power of its specs but from its inner software. I'm pretty sure BlackBerry is "-
    CLOSE to this innovation",
. All that needs to happen is proper marketing. If BlackBerry was supposed to compete against this platform then why add it to the chart? :]y

Apple didn't invent the smartphone, either. In fact, they were pretty late to the game. They seem to be doing OK with it, though. I guess being late doesn't necessarily mean you can't give it a try.

buddy who cares. apple is apple and blackberry is blackberry. i care less what apple has to offer because i am keeping my z10 no matter what.
I agree just like I stuck with my PlayBook knowing that RIM wouldn't let me down. Or like my Z10 that ....I forgot they still aren't avaliable through Sprint. Well I will stick with them as well and since they won't support my PlayBook I will just barrow an IPAD so I can see what is happening on CrackBerry.

Very true they came in late and are doing very OK with it.

Sorry about the lack of updates after the first 24 hours folks. Things ballooned quickly and I didn't even bother trying to keep up.

But the list of threads that I posted that were started within 24 hours of the announcement clearly shows that there was no interest here at Crackberry. /s

I had to take some time away from this place, as it's really starting to depress me as it reminds me of the final days at Pre-Central. Things are getting a bit out of hand around here.
