Hi,

I have recently been getting loads of notifications about featured adds, sometimes there is a blue star in the bar where message notifications show up, sometimes its orange and sometimes it just shows up as a new message on the email icon. The past few days however, these have stopped and instead when I received a message it is to the left of where it normally is in that bar and when I click the bar it says 'cool themes'. When I open this and scroll to the bottom and click 'settings', it says 'choose the type of content you want to see', however won't let me untick the box 'show general items'.
So basically I want to know whether anyone knows what this is? Also is there a way to get rid of the featured apps?
It is a blackberry 9320 (and the last blackberry I will ever get!)

They're not BB ads. They're developer ads. Find every app you installed by Jared. Co, uninstall it and they'll stop. The developer is, for all intents and purposes, spamming you. Something their apps are known to do sadly.

Good to know, shouldn't do that. BB users are especially sensitive with that kinda stuff.

It will backfire for the developer, thanks for the hint. Won't install any such apps or even pay for them.
