I don't take selfies. Rarely do I take photos using my device, I use a digital camera and camcorder (choice of two, one with built-in xeon flash).

Typed using my BlackBerry Passport running the latest QNX software release 10.3.3 on Freedom Mobile DC-HSPA+

Upright. Single thumb zooms & snaps using trackpad button on 9900. Most convenient. Too bad 9900 camera itself provides such pathetic image quality. Lol.

I NEVER do selfies. My Classic, K1, etc too often get into selfie mode, unintentionally... That ugly fellow staring at me is TOO scary!! Lol.

by upright or sideways I'll guess you mean portrait or landscape, and for me it depends entirely on the subject of the photo. Though on my iPhone I have started to take more square photos and ignore the phone display aspect ratio altogether. As far as selfies I rarely take those.
