Just to protect the screen in your pocket i guess an so that it doesn't go off pressing random buttons and such. You're gonna have to shop around if you want one for your belt.. but then again I've never worn it on my belt so I've never found a need to buy a holster for it.

If you want a good holster with a clip look in to the siedio springclip line.

There are also in-holster and out-of-holster settings you can set for your blackberry, like vibrate for texts when in holster, beep when out of holster. It does it automatically when you slip your phone into the holster

I wouldn't place a phone in a belt clip holster personally (just my opinion) because of how much easier it makes it for theives to steal from you.

I thought that it was dumb at first. Yet thought I would use it tell I found a case or skin. Till I lost it and missed it it allowed me to keep my berry in my pocket protect it and not worry bout pushing buttons.

seidio is good, but spring clip wears out, and causes your phone to fall out if you dont keep on double checking it upon replacement
