i upgraded to 4.5.0.10 and surprisingly, everything went according to plan. until i got to the restoring step. i select the .ipd file, the desktop manager recognizes it, i begin the transfer, but and at some point it freezes. a bit of my old settings did make it through at some point. a VERY SMALL bit. no contacts, or emails, texts, tasks, etc.
when i try to synchronize my contacts, it recognizes the contacts, but when i start the transfer i get an error from intellisync saying "connector error".
i think i followed the upgrade instrustions to the t...
Why are you going to 4.5.0.10? The latest beta OS is 4.5.0.97, I'd try that with a complete wipe and reload. I did it on my 8330 and the restore, worked fine. The only part that I noticed a delay / hang on the device was after the install and the reboot of the device, it'll go through if you just hang in there and wait.
I know that when I have the screen lock activated on mine, it won't do anything as far as updating / restore / backups. If you're using that and don't have the berry unlocked prior to hooking it up to the computer, try that. DM will still ask for the password, just enter it in and you should be g2g.
it's not locked when i attach to my comp. do you really think not upgrading to 4.5.0.97 could be the problem? i couldn't find either upgrade for an att phone anywhere. so i used a torrent download. i guess that could be the problem as well. except the upgrade part went well... any idea what a "connector error" could be? i guess i'll wipe it again and try to find the newer upgrade. do you know where i can find it?

Reason: needed to ask a question.
*update: there is no 4.5.0.97 on the blackberry site. only 4.5.0.81. was graffix01 wrong?
No, .97 is still a beta version so you won't find it on the blackberry site. The difference betwen any of the 4.5s is extremely minimal, I would just download what you find on blackberry.com
