PLEASE HELP! my voicemail goes to my answerphone?!

hi ive had this problem since i got my new blackberry (bought it off ebay and then reset it)
i know i did something with the voicemail but i dont know what.
now everytime i call my voicemail it goes 'welcome to orange answerphone, im sorry but the person you have called... etc etc'
and ive been on options>phone options>voicemail
and my access number is my own number.
so whats wrong and what do i do!?
the icon is at the top of my screen and i need to get rid of it and listen to my voicemails

You may need to call your carrier and have them change the retrieval number on their end and also clear the switch.

probablly the best bet... i know on older devices i used to call myself to check the messages. now, by accessing voicemail from my device, i have noticed that it calls a different number to access the voicemail
