I am kinda new to BB and don't know how the pin works. I bought a 9900 a few months ago and the screen starts to play up on me. The dealer agrees to swap me with a new device and what I want to know is;
1. Am I able to transfer all my bbm contacts from my old device to the new one?
2. Will the apps I bought from app world still work given that the new device has a new pin?
3. What else should I be doing before I switch to the new device besides backing up from the desktop manager?

1.yes if ur contacts are backed up
2.yes they are connected to your bbid not your pin
3.nothing (wipe is optional not necessary)

1. Yes, using DM
2. Mostly yes, using DM to transfer your apps and, where applicable, obtaining a new serial.
3. Desktop Manager has a Device Switch option, I recommend you use that.
