STL100-1 = TI OMAP processor and no LTE.
STL100-2 = Snapdragon processor and European LTE frequencies.
STL100-3 = Snapdragon processor and North American LTE frequencies.
STL100-4 = Snapdragon processor and Verizon frequencies.

Judging by some of the complaints on here, a lot of the middle east carriers offer the stl100-1 despite many of them also having live lte networks.

We have LTE in place, but the HSDPA is plenty fast.

I use an STL100-1 and i don't mind not having 4G even if i had an STL100-2 i wouldn't use it because in my country ( Bahrain in middle east) the 4G is new thing, first of all the coverage of it is not available everywhere, second thing you have to pay more to activate the 4G...

So there is no point of paying more to have 4G that is not covered everywhere in the country when 3G+ do the job

I can tell you that network sucks in some places in my country, for example when am at home i can barely find 3G coverage , i'm always on 2G and connected to the wifi

STL100-1 is sold where it is not North America or Europe.

It has similar internals to Dev Alpha, and has the same shade of graphite color as the 2, 3 and 4.
