We have some bad news regarding the BlackBerry PlayBook release date. According to a Kaufman Brothers report the Canadian manufacturer RIM is postponing the launch of the device by three months. Thus, the BlackBerry PlayBook will be available in May, to everyone�s disappointment.
The reason because the BlackBerry PlayBook release date got thrown back is the QNX operating system on which the BlackBerry PlayBook runs. It turned out that the OS is quite the muncher when it comes to battery life, halving the expected juice to only a few hours and this is a very bad thing when thinking about the serious competition from the Apple iPad ( which sports 10 hours of battery life ) or the Samsung Galaxy Tab ( with six hours ).
