Don't panic! I'm planning on getting a 8900 next week and my Mum wants my Pearl, which I'm more than happy to let her have.

I want to make sure that I get everything transferred ok, and I know about the device switch tool on Desktop Manager, however I will be switching carriers from T-Mobile UK to o2 and I want to make sure my Mum, who's also on o2, can set up her emails using the BIS without any 'this PIN is already in use' problems.

How do I go about making sure this doesn't happen? Do I need T-Mobile to release my PIN? I don't know if it's relevant but I bought the Pearl sim-free and it has never been locked to T-Mobile.

Any help will be gratefully received

    Thanks all!

Yes, you should contact T-Mobile to release your pin. If they tell you it's unnecessary, you've only wasted a few minutes on the phone. I think it will be necessary, though, and you'll have saved your Mum the hassle.
