Pinging from country to another country

Hello,

Im from Holland, and I'm going to Turkey for 6 months so I'm gonna buy a prepaid simcard from vodafone there (30TL for 1GB use each month 6 months long), so I can BBM, but when I add my friend from Holland and ping them from Turkey, is it still free?

I know there are similair threads but I still don't get it..

yes. as long as you are not 'roaming' (you will not be, as you will have local service).

there are no additional charges

people actually use the ping feature?? lol

you can use it, it's used on the BBM network.
