My son and his mother are vacationing in Guatemala. Does anyone know if she will be charged extra for sending me messages through Blackberry Messenger? If it helps she is on AT&T and Im on Verizon.

I know us cellular doesn't its included in the data charges and data isn't subject to roaming. Or so I'm told.

That makes sense. I once read that even if you dont have a carrier or you can still do PIN to PIN messaging since its done with Blackberry servers or something to that effect. Thats what Im hoping for.

As long as you both have unlimited data plans then the answer is NO it will not cost extra. BBM does run off of data so as long as you both have data plans...no problem.
