Here is a better tip to get your pin just type "mypin" and your pin number will come up You can type this in on any screen (bbm, email etc. and it will automatically put your pin number up.
I've tried this on several different screens with no results. All in all its not a big deal because getting the pin is pretty easy. Perhaps this is an OS issue as I still hav not upgraded to 4.5.

If you have a blackberry!, and you do it in a text format, like writing in a post here. Or memo, email, text "sms" it will work! It has to be in a text field of some kind.
It is auto text -
mypin+spacebar = pin:3036835b
You must wors my pin as one word and hit the spacebar after the "n" and it will apear.
Your right it is just as easy to check it the other way. But if you are ever typing it out or sharing it with someone else did doesn't get any eaiser.
If you sync your BB with DM your pin will show as what is connected bottom left of the window.
Or the normal way. Options > Status> look for pin.
I can't rember if it is under the battery next to the hex & dec ESN?
