Time for a reboot/battery pull, it's a common problem if you turn the system volume all the way down. When you turn it back up it's stuck on silent.

Text message tone is coming through but not the ring tone I've pulled battery still won't work :s

Have you tried changing your ringtone? I had the same problem and the culprit was that my operator pushed a ringtone that was called like the operator but was silent, therefore all notifications were all right except incoming calls. Weird but true.

Are you sure you're not in silent mode?

Check notification settings just to rule out the obvious.

Check -> Settings -> Notifications -> Notifications/Alerts -> Phone



Ensure that Sound is on

Make sure your ring tone file is still present. For example if stored on a media card and you remove the media card or delete the file then I am fairly sure it won't ring. Just a guess.

i have read the threads and tried the soft reboot, hard reboot, checked all notifications everything and its still not working. i did read somewhere that if bluetooth has been activated it may have something to do with the problem. i'm looking for help to resolve it.
