I am about to get a new plan with Verizon. First phone will be a smart phone(Still debating storm2 or droid); second will be just for calls/listening to downloaded mp3s (podcasts). Is there any consensus as to which phone would be best suited for those two uses (phone/mp3s)??

if you prefer touchscreen go for the S2 as the first one or else TOUR is the obvious choice. For the second phone you have a plethora of options - go to a Verizon store and check for yourself.
I have a Nokia 5800 as a second phone, which gets NO use at all unless someone phones me on it. Originally the BB was the 2nd line, but soon became primary.
I do all my music listening etc on the berry now. More than up to it.
