I would love everyone's opinion on the following matter, according to data in the latest software leak, there are no WXGA devices in the pipeline, but qHD and FHD.

The Z3 features a qHD display, Ontario a FHD display, coincidentally exactly double qHD. Could it be that BlackBerry is shifting focus from WXGA in order to make scaling applications easier, lowering fragmentation?

Yes, there is the issue of a 1440x1440 display size, double that of the Q5 and Q10, making scaling applications for keyboard devices easier, but adapting full touch applications would be a different issue.

Just a theory of course, but what are your opinions on the matter? Some credence to the matter in your eyes?

Actually 1440x1440 would be quadruple the screen resolution of 720x720.

But in essence double, as it's twice the horizontal pixels and twice the vertical pixels, same thing Apple did with the iPhone 4 over the iPhone 3GS...

It would be doubly scaled and not quadruply.
