You're sitting at your desk working/browsing/gaming away with your phone laying beside you. All of a sudden, out of the corner of your eye, you see the notification light blinking. Elated that someone is trying to contact you, you quickly stop what you're doing. You swipe up, only to be disappointed when no notifications show on the lockscreen. You reluctantly go back to working/browsing/gaming, only to have the samething happen again in 15min.
It's similar to the phantom vibrate / muscle twitch in your thigh when you phone is in your front pants pocket and you think someone just texted you, but really you are lonely and just making things up lol
It is very real, along with the aforementioned phantom vibrate.
Sometimes I make the mistake of placing my Z10 on the desk in the same vicinity as my laptop's LED indicators... it drives me nuts even though they are a different color entirely.
I don't get phantom ones on my z10. But I find the the hub+ app takes its sweet time to turn off. I will get a text or a BBM. And check to see from who, answer then put phone down. Then notice it's blinking so I think oh they answered back I didn't hear. Only to discover it was original message. I wish BlackBerry would integrate the led color it into the hub or contacts. And get rid of 3 Rd party led notifications.
