    I'm really tired of waiting for AT&T to release 10.2. Especially as a bunch of apps are being released / updated that are only available on 10.2 devices. I've contacted AT&T a few times but they won't even say IF they plan on releasing 10.2, let alone when. They acknowledge that Apple manage to release updates directly but won't say why BlackBerry can't do the same.

    So I've put together a quick petition. You may not think it will achieve anything (they basically do what the hell they like anyway..) but I want them to know that there is a definite demand for it.

    So do us all a favor and go and sign it (even non US / non AT&T customers can sign it as a mark of solidarity...). It's at:

    Yes this is getting out of control waiting 2 months after the release of 10.2. You can't tell me this should be 2 month process. I hope BlackBerry starts releasing these updates directly.

    So when will testing be fully implemented? I think the US carriers need to focus more on serving their clients. Not updating a phone that the rest of the world has already tested and deployed months before because of such a hollow excuse is ridiculous. What makes them so special?

    I don't think VzW or AT&T really give a s**t about BlackBerry or their user base.

    I'm a U.S. VzW Z30 owner and the way we BlackBerry users get treated makes me sick. Unfortunately there's nothing we can do about it until BlackBerry is in demand again here. We're simply too small of a group to make U.S. carriers care.

    Do you think it's possible it won't be released? That this could go the way of the playbook with no more updates unless you get a new phone?

    I've done the same, but with Verizon as well. I have sent them a bunch of tweets and email and have heard nothing back. At least you got a respond to your Tweet, I got nothing. So like others have said, they really don't care about releasing 10.2 until they feel like it.

    Yeah I was going to but to be honest it was a waste of my time to send that tweet at all. Maybe if I don't pay my bill and they call me to ask me when I will make a payment I should reply "NOT NOW" LMAO. Just kidding of course...

    I learned a long time ago with AT&T not to wait on official releases. The more satisfying plan is to download and install the latest 10.2 leak. I did just that for my, and my wife's phone, and we have been happy ever sense. The 10.2.1.1055 leak works great!

    they will release 10.2 when other are officially on 10.10... in the year 2020. but sarcasm aside... i really don't know what's taking them so long... when everyone else has the official 10.2, why can't they??? is their testing methodology any different than the others? or are their testing crew not apt enough, or they keep putting the bb testing on hold as newer things come up... in any case BB should look into it and ask the US carriers why it's taking such a long time... and should tell the carriers, 4 months after we provide you with the OS, if you don't release we will provide BB users with the update directly via BB world...

    I was wondering today about that sensor issues a few weeks back. Was the issue only for people on 10.2? If so, maybe 10.2 is the update that brought the ability to make remote changes to our phones, and hence, why the US carriers are holding it back indefinitely.

    On a similar note, my blank/lagging text messages have also resolved themselves as quickly as the problem started with no explanation.

    It'll be released. You can't compare this to the PlayBook as the PlayBook releases didn't go thru the carrier.

    Customer service personal will never get release info until they are officially released. Customer service is not a source for future release info.

    Yes they are. It depends on which version of 10.2 they are currently testing. Not all releases will pass the testing.
