    OK the guns needing to be updated I get. But issues with Outlook and BlackBerry seems dumb. I mean having them use Gmail instead? Seriously? Top secret military communication held on a Google server? Wow. As for BlackBerry the company hasn't had a security breach but it is failing right now

    This is just more blithering nonsense from the stupid crowd. Weren't the same ding dongs saying last year that Apple was taking over in the security field. These people are completely clueless in terms of security. On the bright side I sure anything the US government controls will work just as well as the health care portal.

    The article quoted says the iPhone is now as secure as BB10. So, if the author of the original article is implying aht BB has "faltered" in the security arena because other platforms are catching up, that's not fair IMHO. You can't dock BBRY style point for setting the standard other platforms are striving to meet.

    Probably just an awkwardly stated sentence..

    1. M4. Trials were done, but the money isn't available for replacements. High priority units get new stuff.
    2. Outlook. This is just stupid. The military runs their own e-mail. DISA has consolidated services to a few server farms to reduce costs.
    3. B61. Huh?
    4. DCGS-A. This si somewhat true. And something I'm very familiar with. Lots of politics in this one.
    5. M9. 9mm doesn't have stopping power of .45.
    6. Video conferencing. More BS. Check out DCO. DISA: Defense Connect Online (DCO)
    7. BB. More stupidity. BB future is an issue, but BB has never let the military down.
