Question : every time I select export, I can send it to a file but the file is not recognized.
How can I successfully back up my passwords with this app ?

What do you mean the file is not recognized? When the file is exported, are you trying to open it with another app? Once the file is successfully exported, it is backed up. It cannot be opened with any other application. To restore, you import the file while in Password Keeper.

If you are using the latest version of PW Keeper, you have the option to export the data in an encrypted format, that can only be read by a BB 10 device - if you know the pass word. Alternatively, you can chose to export it without encryption, to a CSV file that can be read from MS Excel.

I am running version 10.2.0.44. The export feature can save the file to a folder in an format that only the Password Keeper app on your phone can understand (encrypted) . Or if you turn off the encryption before export it is saved in csv format. You can use MS excel to view the file.

The csv file can't be opened on device. But, you can open it on a pc or mac.
