That's another phone you're creating and would have nothing to do with "Passport" anymore. Looks like one of those 4:3 extended Q's...

No problem with such a phone, but they shouldn't call it Passport, because it isn't. The wide form factor gives it that "desktop" appeal and makes it kind of a "laptop replacement", any less wide makes it just like any other smartphone out there....

Simply remove the physical keyboard and use that space for more screen, that will be about 4.5"x 6" or close to it. Keep the square format but when horizontal you have a movie /video format. Is this possible. This would be like an upgrade to the Z30 plus Passport combo. It also could hook up to an optional wireless keyboard.

We saw the first leaked images of the Passports screen back in March of 2014. If a second rendition of the Passport was due this year, we would have seen something by now.

Passport is the best idea and Best smartphone ever. I can actually type on the passport. The older BlackBerry phones I could never and would never use them.

Considering there hasn't been a version 2 of any product recently, I doubt you're going to see a Passport 2. Maybe the next one will be called Legal Pad, or Note Pad, and be the same size respectfully. The Z10 hasn't been updated in over 2 years, don't think they Passport will either. No need to pump out devices every year that are losing money and sitting in warehouses.

I thought the BlackBerry Leap was the successor to the BlackBerry Z10. And wasn't BlackBerry going to stop using names with BlackBerry 10?

Both. I found it to be the best mobile pkb in history. It was iconic and felt amazing to type on.

I'd love to see a mockup of such a device.
