So I went for it... and now to post the results!

    ************************************************** *************************

    What you will need:
    • Masking tape
    • A hobby knife
    • Spray paint (preferrably the kind for plastics)
    • T5 torx bit
    • Cardboard
    • Hair dryer (to speed up the process)
    • Sandpaper

    ************************************************** *************************

    1. Take apart the BB. You will need the T5 torx for this. Just remove the faceplate, battery cover, and bottom plate of the phone.

    2. Tape off the parts you do NOT want to paint (of course this includes the screen, camera lens, etc.
Use the hobby knife to trim off the excess.

    7. Use a cardboard box (or even a garbage bag) to cover your work area... optional of course.

    8. Cover with two or three coats of color, followed by one coat of clear paint.

    **edit
A few from this morning... had to go to work so didn't really have much time.
    More later.

It's still a little sticky and needs another clear coat. Just seeing what it looked like all put together.

^ Not worried about it because I bought an extra faceplate and battery cover. If I ever need to do anything, I will just switch them out

Not hard at all. Go to youtube and search for curve disassembly and there's video on there that will show you how to remove it. Just pry it up with the t5.

i know, i just watched one. i really want to do this, the only thing i wasn't too clear on was putting that particular piece on. is there something that it will snap onto?

I was worried about that one too, but there are little tabs under it.. it's not that easy to break but just be careful not to snap them off. When you're done, it snaps right back on really easily.

I can see doing this if you have another faceplate set to put on if you need to. However, disassembling the device does void warranty.

That being said, I think it looks nice! I can't let my daughter see this thread.

Very original, congrats on the great job.

PS. Appararently, as an added plus, as soon as you hold a completed pink Blackberry, your nails suddenly grow and become perfectly manicured
