My girlfriend was just asking me if I thought that iPhone and Android users would be switching to BB10, guess this answers it lol
this only matters if they all follow through and purchase the phone
That's great news. Thanks.

yeah this is very interesting. It looks like a great phone but with all the RIM is dead BS I have to admit I'm surprised also. Looks like a strong start!
But RIM is dead.
Long live Blackberry!
Another down day tommorrrow and I'm treating it as my last chance to buy a few more call options.
Wow. Very interesting.
Apparently cnet was wrong...who knew...
a few more after tonight (?) ;
CBC News - The National - On Tonight's Show Wed. Jan. 30th !!
a Top Story;
"BlackBerry 10 launch
The eyes of the technology world were focused on RIM today as the company launches BlackBerry 10, the line of smartphones with the potential to make or break the company. .."
also,
"Featured Analysis,
Inside RIM - Adrienne Arsenault takes you inside the corporate machine that is BlackBerry. She followed the company in the run-up to the launch of the new BlackBerry 10. "
Not often yah get to see inside these "corporate machines" or maybe i've missed those episodes :)
Ya would think they'll also plug their apps tooo , as mentioned within this recent thread;
http://forums.crackberry.com/blackbe...10-app-763530/
And on ctvCalgary noon news, they had MichealHainsworth of BBN reporting on the launch .. CTV Calgary | Video - Breaking News Videos and Reports from Calgary Alberta , chuckled on his personal feelings towards BB10 phone vs a 'fruit' product (and he a self-proclaimed...., "...insanely jealous of features" )
at end of bbn report, ctv news anchor ...stated she wants one (they cut that off from vid' clip though) !!
hasta leugo
I think a lot of former blackberry users still have a place in their hearts for blackberry phones. I know I have fond memories of my curve 8330. I think a lot will switch back now that blackberry is giving them something on par or better than whats out there already. At least in Canada anyways..who knows what the Americans will do.
I think this is true. Although there are many valid reasons why people left BB, I feel like people (including me, a "power user") remember the awesome keyboard and the simple, efficient way it would handle email, calendars, and even music....using my Bold 9700 as a music player in 2009 was simple and elegant, much more so than using Windows Mobile or Android, which I also used at the time. Plus, BB OS' identity has always been wrapped up with RIM, whereas Android's UX varies heavily depending on whether your phone is from Samsung, HTC, LG, Motorola, Sony, etc...
