    Hi

    Have just encrypted my SD card on the Z10 and wondered, when I come to update to OS 10.2, will I need to decrypt before.

    I would definitely de-encrypt BEFORE running the update just to be safe.
    However, if it's an OTA update, I almost bet you don't have to.

    Yes, best to be safe.
    If the OTA update went awry, a security wipe could be required.

    OTA does not require it, as long as the are no issues.

    Installation of a LEAKED OS or even another Official OS that wipes the phone, you will need to decrypt 1st.



    Best policy is ALWAY do a Backup of all of your settings and data using LINK. And Decrypt your card. I've had two OTA updates get "stuck" before and had to unbrick my phones.

    Ok thanks for the advice. Always backup anyway and so far no problem with ota but first time with sd encryption so think will play safe
