    Hi everyone!

I was curious to know.... as I am sure many are, as to whether RIM will be holding any promotions during the OS 7 launch?

Will there be any incentive's RIM will offer to those of us who are not eligible for a trade up do to our contracts?

    I'm very curious to know...

I keep checking tradeup.blackberry.com to see if they've added the OS7 devices -- so far, no. I'm also wondering if they'll drop the trade-up price of the OS6 devices if/when they do include the OS7 ones (currently $170 for the Torch). There's always ebay . . . .

I'm eligible for a trade up mid jan'12....However I'm not waiting for QNX devices as I want a 9900....I am willing to pay full price. It would be very refreshing to find out that RIM has some incentive for those of us locked in a contract

Still nothing on Trade-Up Program site for the new OS 7 devs. I have a 9650 I wanna trade in but it won't let me select the 9930 as my new device.

At this point in the launches of the new os7 devices, they probably don't have any stock to spare with all the devices being needed for carrier orders.

I really hope they implement this.

I posted this at the beginning of this week about a response that I received from RIM regarding the OS7 devices being part of the program and as of this point, it sounds like there are no plans to add the devices.

I emailed them and this was the response. Guess it depends on what you're trading in.

"Well it doesn’t look good for the new models to be added to the Trade Up program BUT your phone you are trading in is not getting a trade up credit from BlackBerry, so a new purchase does not affect the value you’ll receive. What you need to do is trade in your 9650 and select the 9800 as your purchased phone. When you get to the IMEI number of your new phone you can put in your 9650 IMEI or seven random numbers. As long as the phone is fully functional then you will receive $65.00 for your phone.

Please let me know if this helps."
