I actually read it on a post from Sticky here unless I am mistaken. I cant find it again though, almost like it was removed. I've been pumped. I could swear that is what it said, I read it 3 times to make sure I read it right.
Yeah, I would go on and say it is HIGHLY unlikely that a 5.0 build will be released tomorrow. Though, very credible people have stated that 5.0 has high emphasis and will be sooner rather than later compared to earlier beliefs.
What's the biggest change OS 5.0 will bring? Going from 4.3 to 4.5 was a major upgrade. OS 4.5 gave us the ability to read native docs stored on our media card, ability to use Docs To Go, HTML Emails, and a better browser. What's the fuss over 5.0? What is it going to do that'll make our heads spin?

I read it a few days ago. I like the improvements, but I didn't see anything that I couldn't live without. When I first purchased my Blackberry I was so dissapointed I was unable to view native docs on my media card, and was also unable to use Docs To Go. OS 4.5 came and changed all of that.
It seems like 5.0 is bringing upgrades to things we use, and it's also bringing upgrades to things many of us may never use. I couldn't find anything that really stood out....that made me say....wow!!

Yeah, I think it's suited more for BES users. Still, once we hit 5.0, I think good things will develop in terms of app memory and others things we want.
I swear I read that 83xx will be S-O-L on 5.0, and only devices running 4.6 will get the 5.0 upgrade. So due to old hardware, they wont be able to run the BIS 5.0.
So, 83xx series wont see anymore upgrades, which in turn, your carriers should be ready to carry the 8900's that will have 5.0 preinstalled by the end of the year depending on what carrier you are with.
I personally hope that the Curve 83xx Series (or at least the Curve 8330 ) will get the 5.0 upgrade because I'm not due for an upgrade until late 2010. And honestly, I love my Curve 8330 and would be quite dissappointed if it didn't see the upgrade to 5.0, especially being that it's currently one of RIM's best selling phones. I've been keeping my fingers crossed for this and haven't personally read anything concrete stating either way whether that the 83xx Series will or won't get the update. The CrackBerry Blogs didn't really say either way except that they've heard both that it will get it and it won't. But my fingers are crossed!! I hope they don't leave me out on this upgrade!!
