I have a blackberry bold running OS 5.0.0.681.. The os runs great but the only issue I have is when I do a hard reset my battery level drops dramatically! Now, I have ready threads on this forum before regarding this issue but none of them answered my question. My question is does the hard reset drain the battery? Or is the OS showing the wrong battery level?

Yeah I lose ten percent any time I reboot or battery pull the phone.
Yeah, sometimes I lose 20-30 percent..I'm wondering if the reboot or battery pull causes the battery drain or if the actual reading is incorrect until you reboot..

How long are you waiting between reboots? The battery sensors do shift over time, it's a fact of life.

I usually do it at the end of the day, before I go to bed and put it on charge it might say I have 50 percent left but when I do the reboot it sometimes drops as low as 10 percent with the battery indicator flashing..

It's strange, on my Tour my battery drain after a reset changed depending on what OS I was running. Before, when I was running 5.0.0.591, my battery would drop between 10%-20% after a reset, now that I'm running .752 (I think that's what it is now), I usually drop between 5%-10%, if that...
) gets better battery life that's why. But yeah I lose about 5% versus 10% on .643.
