I noticed this on my Blackberry Pearl 8130 on Bell Mobility Canada (Ontario)

When I go to Options->Advanced Options->Wireless Upgrade it shows it's looking for updates for the OS, but doesnt say there is one... altho I will say mine isnt the latest (4.5.0.77) I dont think...

Anyone know if this is new? I've never noticed this before and I am in there all the time. Am I crazy? :P I work for a cellphone dealership... so I want to know for my clients if this is actually a working new option, or just a To Be Worked On feature... :P

The Wireless Upgrade function will only work if you are on BES.
If this is your personal phone you can ignore it for now. No idea
if there are plans to make the function available for BIS

I also wondered about that ,,, i thought it worked for bis due to the fact I have tried it and it states that I have the most recent upgrade

It is something I first saw in the last builds of 4.5. But as AG said its for BES have no idea why its on any devices that are on BIS

Oh one other thing, I vaguely remember seeing that it does work
on the Storm. If that is wrong I hope someone corrects me.

It works on the Storm, but most of us get the leaks LONG before any of the carriers do a wireless update. Most of us are now on .109, but VZW, Bell, Vodafone etc are on .75/.76/.78 Don't ask me why they picked different versions.

I can't imagine upgrading the OS wirelessly considering how long it takes on a PC.
