And I've had it confirmed to me directly by a representative of the Roman Catholic Church that other religions worship false gods.. so what? T-Mobile USA's credibility at this point is close to zero in my book, based upon their behaviour. And I've seen some fairly credible evidence that they are on a campaign to malign BlackBerry at this point as well, so that doesn't exactly take away from that impression.
    LoL! You're too much!
I have been with T-Mobile for 17 years since the days of OmniPoint.
I never really had an issue with their service, so I will remain with them.
But, that does not mean I like their recent behavior, or Legere's smack talking.
    He's not professional at all.

I love this "crashing of the servers" stuff. Sounds like pure bunkum if you ask me.

Well T-Mobile released the update. I guess you were wrong. I have finally calmed down. Now let's hope they release a Z30.

Spent about half hour getting the scoop. T-Mobile will continue to trouble shoot phones, but won't provide updates.

Blackberry should be selling the phones direct to public and say "hell with carriers".
Why is it so difficult? Verizon should also just drop it so BB can finally sell it direct. But who knows what's going on behind the scenes....

About carrier not pushing updates...Who cares, honestly? We all get our updates here anyway...
The general public does not used leaked OS. Business users are not allowed to use leaked OS. The world is bigger than crackberry. If CB fans are all that is important, there will be no BlackBerry. I, for one, will not continue to use a phone that has little carrier support and no updates. BlackBerry needs to get it together. BlackBerry desperately needs carriers- without them BlackBerry sales would plummet even further.

"The world is bigger than Crackberry"
"BlackBerry needs to get it together"

Two of the most simple, yet profoundly accurate statements the "fanboys" on here would do well to understand!

I tell you what: you can keep calling people "fanboys" just for being more optimistic than you are about the company, as long as I get to call you a troll.

    Deal?

Hint: it's actually possible to be optimistic without being a "fanboy" or a pollyanna. And it's actually possible to be a fan and supporter without thinking everything the company ever does is golden.

I know these terrible complexities are hard for many in the twitter generation to grok.

The carriers better start supporting something or else the US market is going to be 100% iPhone in a few years. Most of the android companies are selling their phones at a loss in the US. Only Samsung creates a profit and even they are retrenching as evidenced by the modest update to their Galaxy and the large cut in advertising for it. The launch of the GS4 was a major media event here in NYC. The GS5 was launched in a tech event.

The iPhone is dominating every report of actual ussage. Boingo, the airport and inflight wireless service, reports that 83% of its use is on iOS devices. This despite many companies making quality android devices. But those companies need to make a profit or they can't keep doing the R&D to make good devices.

Apple increases it RD every year and is likely to continue to do so. Who will be able to compete in a couple of years? Apple could put a major carrier out of business by offering an exclusive again.

Okay. I know that won't happen again. It would cost Apple billions and upset its users. But still the carriers need competition in the handsets. Will Google keep floating Motorola? Can Msoft really keep pumping money into Windows phones that nobody buys and nobody loves? What can Nokia do and how long can it keep making these Lumias with gimmick cameras? At least BlackBerry has genuine love from some folks. There is a hashtag called BlackBerryforLife for goodness sakes. Does Windows phone evoke that kind of passion?

Google already gave up trying to float Motorola. They sold it to Lenovo.
