Been using it off and on for a couple of weeks now. The potential is there for a wonderful browsing experience, but like others have said there is still a lot of work to be done on this beta. When the official release comes out and the bugs are worked over I will be happy to use OM5.
Does anyone know if issues addressed in this and other forums are fixed? I liked the idea of this browser but the bugs brought it to deletion before I really got much use out of it
I find Opera Mini 5 to be easier to use (at least for me) than Bolt 1.5. It also seems to load pages just a bit quicker. And tabbed browsing is a big plus for me and I love how OM5 presents it like a stack of cards. OM5 will bring up the keyboard every time I tap on a text field, whereas Bolt still doesn't. I like the whole 3x3 grid of shorcuts at the beginning. Much better way of getting to my most visited pages (reminds me of Google Chrome). The other biggie I like a lot about OM5 is the intelligent zooming. Just tap where you want it to focus and it'll zoom in to pretty much the perfect level. I still can't figure out how to zoom in with Bolt...
I don't like how I can't save an image using OM5 (if someone knows how, let me know). Nor can I view videos, like on Bolt. And the various bugs. The one where it erases everything in a text field instead of just one character annoys me a bit.
It says the 8330 isn't capable of running beta 5. Working on your Curve?
It's working on my curve but I'm running a 5.0.0.230/.238 hybrid now and what the download site says is actually that, Opera has been unable to verify that it works with the Curve, but I just quasi-verified that for you, so no worries!

Loaded on the Sprint Curve 8330m with no problem. I love the new interface. Multiple tabs. takes a little getting used to, but overall a very good upgrade IMO.
What I noticed is at the same time they released their beta of 5, they also released an updated version of 4.2 (fixes some java script issues). I noticed that when I got rid of 5, and re-installed 4.2. For any one that prefers 4.2 and still has it, re install it. I'm happy with it. I can post in some sites that couldn't process text boxes, etc... Generally is a bit smoother, too. Still fast even when you set quality to high.

It's probably in this thread and I've missed it.. when I hit the del/bkspc it wipes the entire line, not just 1 character. Is this a bug or is there a fix? Other than that, Opera rocks!
