So K Bear you were wrong about the Tmobile speeds right? I'm just asking because you sounded real sure and then you didn't.

If it comes out in the UK in November then I'll be more than happy to get it. If not, I'll just go for the 9700

Post #12, is interesting, sounds like the new 9700a will be called the 9780, and released in the very near future.

Weirdness. Doesn't say anything about this having a touchscreen, but then it says it has a SureType keyboard. The only way that would be possible is with a virtual keyboard on a touchscreen.

Odds are pretty high that this update to the 9700 is intended to be in the shops before xmas given the only major changes being the memory and os6, you have to assume this won't be intended as a longer term product and there will be a replacement about 9 months later.

I would also bet that one of the biggest consideration for when it launches will be how soon the 9800 shows up as that is clearly the os6 flagship and thus we can't expect other devices until after that one has been officially announced and is due to start shipping.

I would guess mid-November if the 9800 is released on AT&T in mid-August as most recently rumoured, particularly if AT&T is getting a three-month exclusive with the 9800. That would allow it to drop the 9780 just when its exclusivity with the 9800 runs out.
