    what's the deal with removing the battery to gain memory.. I looked in how to but didn't find anything....If I attempt it will does it do a reset and will everything still be there...thanks again

    Everything will still be there, it simply clears out the memory, closes any apps that may be using memory, and basically refreshes the device.

    Pulling the battery is like rebooting a pc. It clears the memory and closes any apps running in the background, thus restoring some of the free file memory.

    No it will not hurt anything nor erase anything from the device. Rim recommends pulling the battery for many issues you may have with the device.

    Some users do it daily.

    It is best to optimize the memory on your device using Stoner's or John Clark's guides and getting a media card to store the pics, ringtones, music and videos on to keep it off of the device.
