There are a few ways, but IMO, one of the best ways is to sideload Snap. You can get the latest version from Snap - Red Light Of Love, Ltd.. Once you sideload this, logon with your Google account credentials and install all the Android apps you like.

Additionally, you need to enable "Allow Apps from Other Sources to be Installed" under System Settings/App Manager/Installing Apps.

    Good luck! Have fun!

Snap really is very good. I started out using the amazon app store (which is not bad, but selection is limited), then side loaded snap (last thing you will ever side load). The selection from snap is no comparison (it is a client to Google play after all with native BB10 feel and performance).

Either way, love your reaction above, once you discovered mobile 1. Enjoy your all new experience....
Almost like buying a new device isn't it?

Lol. Great reaction. And yes, it's so easy.

Check out Snap. I think it's a more credible source since it ties directly into Google Play.

There should not be, they are sandboxed on BlackBerry 10, however I will be still very careful of allowing full access permissions from third party stores. I am glad that you found the process simple it really is and though not ideal it essentially substantially closes the "app gap". I suggest you also get a max mobile security Antivirus from BlackBerry World as you are downloading from third party stores for your peace of mind. It's well worth the investment .Check out Max Mobile Security in BlackBerry World! You can find it at http://appworld.blackberry.com/webst...ntent/21747714

Thanks for the advice!! I'm not crazy about spending 9.99 for an app but I think you are correct. Thanks again

No worries, just my advice for peace of mind. There is a cheaper app for 2.99 at least try to get that one if you can't justify the 9.99. Check out Secure AntiVirus Pro in BlackBerry World! You can find it at http://appworld.blackberry.com/webst...ntent/34092890

I would like to hear what other people are using for protection. Security has always been very important to BlackBerry users

From 1Mobile? They're a totally unregulated Chinese app store that has a lot of pirated pay apps available, among others. Yeah, I would think that there could be some serious security concerns, because many/most of the apps available there were NOT uploaded by the developer who made the app. There's simply no way to know where those apps come from or what might have been done to them.

Were I a BB10 user looking to install Android apps, the ONLY way I'd do that is by using SNAP, which pulls apps from the Google Play Store, which, while perhaps not 100% safe (mostly little throw-away junk apps may have issues), it's significantly safer, especially for more mainstream apps, given that the Play Store is the primary, and most scrutinized source of Android apps.
