Well, after reading someone's story about their stolen BB (having had a previous phone stolen) and seeing people recommend FintIt2, I went right over and downloaded and installed the demo!

Initially, I read the directions far enough to set up tags, and then tried "ring". Well, I was impressed, so I went ahead and tried "stolen".

    I SAID DON'T LAUGH

Yep, you guessed it, I have no clue how (as the owner) I'm now supposed to get it to stop!

Help! I'm sitting here with my battery pulled, trying to figure this out at 5am, haha.

I'm going to try and go back to the program and see if it asks me for my password or something.

FindIt2 is too awesome, I'm going to have to get it for sure. =)

I can just see telling the cops where it is, then setting off that alarm, haha.

Reminds me of one woman whose cell phone was stolen at the airport. She knew the woman that had taken it, but she denied it till security called the phone in question. You don't want to know where she hide it, but let's just say that the other woman didn't want it back.

    ROFL!! I couldn't help it :-D

I'm glad you fully tested the program..so it stops ringing after a battery pull?! Doesn't that defeat the purpose?

Yeah, it does, and after reading the directions (this time) I can confirm that this is intended. So, I guess you have to setup your handy unix box's cron job to send every few minutes!

If I'd just stolen some guys phone and it was ringing non-stop or going insane like BerryLocator does I'd just throw it away.
