I don't know the exact age but I'm assuming he's not over 13 but doesn't seem to be younger than 9. A reasonable guess would be 10-12. But still that's pretty young for a BlackBerry, or any other mobile phone in general.

From the box it looks to be a 9320. The 9300 was sold with that smaller box form factor in Canada as well but only from one of our carriers. I doubt the 9300 is in stock in many locations anyways so I'll wager that it's the 9320 Curve.

Seems like the 9360 came in a larger box, both my 9900 and 9360 (and 9300 as matter of fact) came in the larger box. Could be though, I've noticed even the BlackBerry black box varies from carrier to carrier.

Perhaps a British accent, there? If that's the case, he'd be understandably excited, unlike many of our overindulged children here in the States. My boys are quite grateful for their phones, so much so that even though they are on our plan, they pay their share of the bill. But the reaction of this young fellow is delightful, and refreshing.
