I have a note 4 with verizon. I am wanting to come back to blackberry. I had a z10 and it died on me. I was wondering what do you think? The classic or wait for the next? The specs don't look much better than the q10

    That's because they are not.

Either get a Z30, a Passport or wait up for the next device.

I have a Note 3 and a Classic. Apples and oranges in my opinion. There are big trade-offs either way. The Classic does not feel under-powered at all (except starting up some Android apps). While the specs don't stand out, the small screen and BB10 OS seem to run just fine with the smaller horsepower. If you like the hardware keyboard, gestures, and Hub, you'll like the Classic. If you need a big screen, certain Android apps, and just knowing you'll be able to run whatever comes along, you'll be disappointed.

Thanks. I'm not huge app person but the ones I needed from android were a little buggy when I tried to run them on my z10. Thanks for the opinions.

Remember that OS 10.3 runs Android apps better, not sure what you had on your Z10.

Runtime support is now 4.3 and the Passport has more than enough power to keep most apps happy.

    Classic, not so much.

Sure, if a Q10+toolbelt is what the OP wants.

I though, think he needs more power than that.

Hey OP. What's your reason for wanting to come back to Blackberry? I also have Note 4. If it's simply the OS, and your not an app person I say Z30, hands down. You get plenty of screen real estate, BB10 gesture UI, the hub and the best VKB in the business. Good luck.

I miss the keyboard and loved the gestures. It was much quicker for me. The hub I loved also. I'm with verizon so I don't get updates quickly and I was on 10.2. It seemed like everytim we I used an app from amazon or snap it would freeze or just shut off.

everything is much better on 10.3.2 , but I'm pretty sure the note 4 is like the best device in the market as of right now.

If your usage would be strictly messaging then you might be alright transitioning into a Classic.

BUT, if you need android apps, stick with the Note, you will be frustrated if your apps don't run right on the Classic.

Use both, get a Classic and use the Note as well.

I have a note 4 as well on Verizon and keep switching between my Z10, Q10 and the Note 4. Definitely like the screen size on the note but the bb10 os is my overall preference. Most of the Amazon apps that I use on bb10 really don't run smoothly and so I keep having to go back to the note 4 just to maintain use of those apps. Really wish I could get those to run better on the bb10 is so I could fully get away from the note. Typing on the note 4 has been somewhat of a challenge and gets frustrating at times. You would probably enjoy the z30 as many others have mentioned.

There's a couple of really good keyboard apps for the note, for typing. I used the swift keys and swipe they work a lot better than the one loaded on the phone.
