Well of all the suggestions about who could or should buy BlackBerry I think this one is unique. Sure, in the past people have suggested that Nokia buy BlackBerry, but nobody has (to my knowledge) suggested it since....Till ZNet said:

haha it's an interesting idea; & I must admit, if I wanted anyone else to build BlackBerry hardware it would be Nokia because they do (usually) build good quality hardware. Imagine the patent portfolio Nokia would get out of this. M$ is only buying a few of Nokia's patents. Most of that 2.2 Billion was to license their patents for 10 years. purchased 8,500 design patents & is licensing 30,000 utility patents

Anyway. Just to be clear I am not saying that I think this will happen, or that it should happen. I just thought I would see what people in the forum thought of it's merits. What do you think of the idea? advantages/disadvantages

That's an excellent point. I really hope there's still a BlackBerry in 2.5 years. I want a Q11 with wireless charging (or some sort of charging pod contacts) & 802.11ac....and that's about the only hardware enhancements I care about. my phone's fast enough without having 8 cores
