well any blackberry users out there who also like to touch base is the nokia world the n900 is an amazing handset. crazy nokia also going big with their high end handsets and this is by far the best yet. check it out
Agreed. This is by every account and offering what RIM should have done with the onyx / bold line. It sleek, sexy, pushes the envelope and has the specs (screen and storage specifically) to wipe the floor with the competition- even the itoy people seem obsessed over for no good reason...This will be a gamechanger if its marketed / sold propertly stateside.

I like it and it has 2 camera's, 1 in the front for video calling. Too bad there's no video calling here in the US yet. It's definitely gonna be a GSM only phone. Dunno about T-MO or AT&T though. One last thing, the screen is somewhere in between the iPhone and the Storm 1. Typing is fairly easy and I love the 5 MP cam.
I'm really looking into this phone, and from what I've seen, the N900 will only support 900/1700/2100 3G frequency -- in other other words, T-Mobile USA's 3G frequencies.
This phone will likely stop me from upgrading my 8900 to a newer BB for may be the next 2 years. I like the big change from 8320 to 8900 and don't think will feel it from either Onyx or Odin.
I already placed a pre-order on Amazon. I am on TMO and this phone 3G should work here and when I frequent my hometown in Thailand and business trip in Europe. Can't go wrong here
I have read the N900 will not have UMA.
I get on average 1 to 2 bars in my home.
I keep T-Mobile because I use UMA for both data and voice.
I and my wife both have a 8320 and I was looking at other phones besides BB.
Should I stick with T-Mobile with the hope something will come out or switch to Verizon. I would have 4 or 5 bars at my home with no need for UMA.
Any advice would be helpful.

Verizon has some very interesting devices coming out soon. Their first android phone rumered to be named the Sholes or Tao tops the list imo. Also new WinMo devices are on the way and of course the BB Storm2. I'll be taking a long hard look at the android device, here's more info if you are interested.
UMA is the bomb so I will keep using my 8900, but I will take my SIM on 8320 and put it to use with the new N900. 8320 is my traveling GSM phone anyway.
I was in nyc at the nokia store playing with the N900 for a while. The phone looks great has many features but it is not a blackberry. The keyboard has such a diff layout compared to my bold I just could not get used to it. I actually won an N97 while in the store. Nokia just not for me.

Ill be buying it outright for my wife... Assuming it will work on AT&T, (if not, there will be a way) I may just have to pick up one for myself then as well!

No Nokias aren't bad phones... they're pretty nice and I believe the biggest sellers internationally of smart phones!
And this will work on AT&T just maybe not their 3G. Not sure myself you'll have to find out! And this is gonna be like 900+ outright just FYI.
As of right now it WILL work on ATT but only on EDGE frequencies, it doesn't have ATT's 3G capability. And.....you can pre-order on amazon for $582.00, not 900
