Soon the z10 will start getting a little long in the tooth, I'm hoping BlackBerry will release a 4.0 4.2 inch phone with similar specs for the z30 or even better.

It's called the Z30. Unless my eyes are fooled, but isn't it that the z30 and the low cost z3 just shared a very similar screen size? I think this could be the standard that BlackBerry will adopt for their full touchscreen phones.

The 4.2" form factor is dead. I don't quite understand why Blackberry management ever thought it would regain traction. (Because iPhone? What?) Sticking with the conventional 5" size is a much smarter move.

Agreed. I have been using the LG g2 for almost 6 months And if BlackBerry gets much bigger it'll just ruin the device. I like holding and using my phone with one hand.

If it was dead then why are Sony, Samsung and others still producing phones in this size range surely they must appreciate there still is demand and a market for it. It's not just the iphone

I haven't decided what I would do if BlackBerry takes a stance of....the q20 is our small screen device and any thing else will be a ginormous touch screen. surely there is a market for 4 to 4.2 touch screens? With high end specs... (iphone) some people don't want a tablet for a phone and don't need a keyboard!!! we shall see

Agreed they need a Z30 mini just like Samsung does with the Galaxy.

I think that Foxconn will eventually get there. In the meantime .. fix the Z10's many faults. The trouble is that they are just selling off their inventory and that phone is really EOL.

I think that Foxconn is two years away from a complete all touch model line.

If they keep making 5"+ screen phones, I guess my Z10 replacement will have to be one of the new QWERTY models. . . the 4.2 is perfect for me, the Z10 is just too big and awkward for me to work with. I'm also 6'1 with big hands, so that's not a factor. Personal preference I guess. Just saying that there still is a market for the sub-5" screen devices.

I wish the Z10 had some of the Z30 specs... Or maybe even an upgrade...but in lue of recent press releases ... It's not in our future.

I hope we see a replacement for the Z10 too as I really like the form factor. The Z30 is nice but it's nice to be able to hold your phone with one hand be able to hit every key with one thumb.

I'd just like to see in the same body; a slightly larger screen (less bezel), up the processor and internal storage, better battery if possible, Paratek antenna, Miracast and FM. Basically cram the Z30 internals into a Z10 form factor.

I don't see any sub 5" full screen BlackBerry phones in the future. I didn't think I'd like the 5" screen coming from a z10 but I absolutely love my z30.

If I'm going to go to a 5" screen device in the $500 to $600 range, it needs to be 1080 screen device. The Z30 needs to drop to about $350 to $400 unlocked and I would consider getting one. Not paying top dollar for BlackBerry devices anymore when the competition shoves in more for less.

Yep others do cram in more for less and less is what you get. My g2 for instance has more "stuff", stuff, there is so much stuff sitting in it, for the last months I've played with this stuff and found out it just has way too much stuff that I'll never use.

Yes but it is there if you want to use it. Lower spec'd components like screens, processors, etc cost less to purchase and should result in a cheaper overall device.

I would also like to see a Z10 replacement. Except for the battery needing to be charged too often, I think the Z10 is a good phone. A Z10 replacement with less bezel and a better battery along with the usual spec increase would make for a nice update.

Honestly don't think the z10 is any way cheaply made or feel. Actually I can hold onto this. I can't count flapping my arms like flappy bird trying to catch that high gloss phone from hitting the ground. I literally mean standing in the grocery line flailing around trying to catch it. Z10 fits just nice in my meat-hooks.

I would love to replace my Q10 with a high end Z10-like device that would have a bigger, replaceable battery with newer, better specs. I LOVED the Z10, but short battery life and Sprint didn't carry it kept me from getting one. I would happily accept some thickness for a bigger battery.
