Who cares?? Bolt and Opera's current browers are good enough for the time being. Next year RIM's flash enabled browser will be what we have all been waiting for. Skyfire is an afterthought.
No big loss. Bolt works well for some sites and the native browser does a good enough job for the rest. I love FireFox but will not miss its presence on the mobile.
Correct me if I am wrong, but when I had upgraded my Blackberry Curve 8330 to the 5.0 platform, Firefox loaded as an option, for I had seen in my browser options.

That is just the browser identification setting. It is what the browser tell a website it is when connecting. So basically it spoofs to look like your browser is running FF to the website.
I love Firefox, but it has always been extremely obvious that there would never be Firefox on BlackBerry (with its current OS). I mean, Mozilla wants to have mobile addons that mimic the full desktop ones. No way that can be done (currently) on BlackBerry.
