I had trouble yesterday. After I resent the service books, I received emails once. Then nothing till about 9pm last night. My inbox was flooded with emails. Seems to be working fine today.
I am on Verizon in CA. Lost my email when I turned phone on yesterday. Called both Verizon and my email provider.
They had no clue. Called back, conference call and decided it was a verizon blackberry issue. I have done everything with battery, service books, deleted and added email address. Nothing. I was told a higher level tech from Verizon would call. Nothing, this is my second day. I am glad I came here to see it isn't just me, but I still don't have any email. Yes I am addicted.
So here I am now on Sunday morning, haven't had email since Friday morning. I just tried the battery and service book tricks. Nothing. Verizon was supposed to call me with a higher level tech with 24 hours. Such fun.
I got my email back yesterday finally. So remember Verizon was supposed to have a "higher level tech" call me. It never happened. Yesterday morning I called and got a verizon rep that was rude. They are usually nice even if they don't know anything. Anyway, he told me that Verizon and Rim worked together on Saturday and it was fixed. That is news to me as it's now Monday. Anyway, he decided to put me on the phone with RIM (cool). This tech, Joel knew what he was doing. We bonded for two hours trying every trick he and/or I could think of. There are things I know and places I went on the blackberry that I didn't know existed. To make a long story short, Verizon didn't really help me on Saturday. They deleted my email account and we couldn't get it to come back, even had to conference call in with my email provider.
Lots of fun, 3 verizon techs, 2 advanced access tech, 1 RIM tech, about 4 hours of my time on the phone but it works but I did lose 4 days of email on my phone. Luckily, had it on my laptop. YEAH! This is a learning experience right? HA.
Verizon actually called me today to make sure everything was working. It's about time, I gave the guy an earful. He blamed the whole fiasco on RIM.
RIM blamed it on Verizon. Oh well, hope the time change this weekend doesn't screw everything up even more.
