I FEEL LIKE I'M DYING!!! R.I.P TO MY BOLD! i got a flat tire on my car on the highway so i pulled over to the breakdown lane and proceeded to put on the spare tire. i had my blackberry in the holster which was clipped to my belt. so when i went to get up to go put the flat tire back in the trunk my berry hit the fender of my car. as soon i saw my berry in the air i couldn't help but scream. all of a sudden everything switched to slowmotion. the berry bounced on the ground and went into the lane and got ran over multiple times. i miss it soooo much. and stupid me for not having insurance because i always took extra special care of my berries. lucky i have a friend from texas that loves blackberries and has a few backups. so i talked to him and he said that he will ship it monday morning, so i should get it around tuesday afternoonish. i'm very thankfull to have him as a friend. i'm pretty sure he's on cb.com but idk his screen name. so now i can' wait till tuesday. my thumbs wont stop moving. lol. so guys hopefully i won't do anything crazy and hopefully everything will still be normal until i get my berry.

And have we learned anything about insurance....? Yes it is a monthly cost, but compare the price of your loss. Sorry to hear about your loss, and thank you for the reminder to others of what can happen in the blink pof an eye. Good luck in the future!

It is always easy to think about insurance AFTER you need it. Everyone should weigh the value of the cost vs. the impact to losing their device.

an 8800 modified...lol it has the latest OS, it's an AT&T, but he ordered the Verizon 8830 Silver Housing and installed it. it looks awesome. i just can't wait. imho the 8800 is a great blackberry. i had one before i had my crimson 8310.

Totally feel your pain. I lost my blackberry few moths. Back really thought that the pain would go away and i could just get back to a ordinary phone. But was totally mistaken. So been saving some money and pretty soon ill be able to afford a Bold. Can't wait. I know this sounds sad.but here is one place i not ashamed to admite it. After all we are addicts to BB.
Plus the bold will be totally insured.
Its a must.

Gah. I feel your pain. My first berry died in a freak accident(it was an old 8700c) and I was without for a couple of days till I borrowed an 8830 from my brother. The next week, my Curve came in. But it was a crazy couple of days!

This is why i've carried all my devices in touches for the past 5 years. They are made of cloth material and have a velcro or magnetic flap cover. Protects and it is secured to your belt. Your device can't fall out and is not exposed.

Gosh! I felt sad reading that! Back in the old days I had talk about pager with a full keyboard. It fell in the toilet and I just felt so sad. Within an hour I was at curcuit city buying a new one! I could not be without!

thanks guys...i actually thumb wrestled against my girlfriend for about 30 minutes, until she got annoyed. lol
