I was talking with my fellow BlackBerry fan about the new black and gold passport that's available in Dubai. He then suggested that maybe the passport is in Nigeria . Turns out he was right. It costs about $800.00 though but it's expected as the IPhone 6 16GB version costs about $1100.00. I m super excited though . It says it would be available by the end of the month. Who are they kidding?
I've become accustomed to slot for their accurate pricing. But they failed this time. It will quickly drop. And then the perception of waiting for all BlackBerry phones to drop, before they purchase them, will arise again.
This perception was almost killed by the Q10, Z30 and Z3. The prices of those phones dropped very very slowly.

You can wait for konga.com to start selling it, they usually have the best prices for BlackBerrys. Got my Z30 from them last year around December for 85k (517 USD) and I'm hoping to get the Passport once it gets to 100k (609 USD). Just wait till they start their Christmas sales and I'm sure a lot of attractive options would pop up.

I don't believe this pricing yet.
Affordables website says the opposite. Ridiculous price of about $1,000(#162,000)

And SLOT being an expensive shop, I can only wonder

You are probably right. I'm planning on waiting it out but excluding the z10 there has been no sharp falling of prices. I mean the z30 launched at #105,000 now it's #80,000 in some places. I myself am buying this baby sometime next year. I'm not really into getting the latest as soon as it comes out. I just thinks it's vain. Lol

Was talking to a girl who is not tech savy, and she said that BlackBerry phones were not good phones. I asked why and she said it was because the prices drop too quickly. Lol. Surprise + Shock.

I wish BlackBerry prices stabilise. Even at least this one should hold at say #80,000. That's o of the reasons I don't want to buy it early. I had a bad experience with the z10
