Nokia is releasing "Lumia Black", their latest OS update for the Lumia's today. There's a video to show off some of the new features:



The take away:

1. The OS is being widely released today. No idea if U.S. carriers will be holding things up, but it looks like Nokia is the one in control.
2. They gave the release a non-numeric name, something memorable, simply "Black".
3. Supported devices are listed.
4. They made a video.

If BlackBerry wants to make a splash with the next OS release, besides saying "10.2.1.x", perhaps they could learn from this example.

Every brand to their own naming style, iosx android with desert names and BlackBerry with build names.

Not overly impressed by the 'new' features. The camera software is the only thing that truly impressed me and it better have. I expected nothing less from Nokia and Microsoft.
