I just discovered how awesome Nfc tags are! Put some up around the house to make my life more convenient.

I put one on my nightstand with the hope of programming it to put my phone into bedside mode - anyone know if that is possible?

Yes it is. At least with 10.2.1. But you can add Bedside mode to quick menu now too so it is just a tap away anyway. the NFC tags I use would do more than just bedside mode. i.e. turn wifi off, set alarm time etc.

Can anyone please explain how to setup bedside mode on an Nfc tag? I can't seem to find that option in the Nfc smart tags app.

And how do you get your tags to set an alarm time? I can get it to turn on alarm but not set a time.

Check out the Smart Tags app. I haven't tested it for myself yet but it seems to have tons of options to write NFC tags. I'm sure bedside mode is amongst them.

That's the one I'm using and I just can't find anything to do with bedside mode.

The best I can find in smart tags is a tag to turn all alerts off and alarm on. As close to bedside mode as I can get.

I just bought these ones from NFCguyz on amazon.

"5 Premium NTAG203 NFC Tags from NFCGuyz + Free Bonus Black NTAG203 NFC Sticker"

I hope they work, I got the type from another forum. That I can't seem to find right now.

Last week I bought Mifare classics off Amazon, they did not work.

I will report back when I hey them.

NFC tag for bedside mode?-img_00000713.pngAlright guys, so I ordered these. I can't wait till T-Mobile updates my Z10 with 10.2.1 WITH WiFi calling fully functional. Meanwhile I can mess around with these and maximize my phones potential.
