I know that NFC is still relatively new but I'm curious to see if there any Crackberrians out there who've started incorporating NFC tags into their daily routines.

Heck, let's even brainstorm and see what kind of applications we can come up with.

Sure beats the majority of "threads/bait" in the general/new forums.

I believe you will find what you are looking for already in the forums. I've found numerous uses for NFC in my daily life from a couple threads here. Little things like turning off WiFi and turning on Bluetooth when leaving the house, another just to turn on Bluetooth in the car, one to send an auto reply to the husband that I'm on my way home, one to turn off Bluetooth and turn on WiFi when returning home, etc.

Apart from payment and access control (which hopefully will be available soon) there are tons of use cases for NFC and tags. See this video (application name is changed from NFCLauncher to NFCShortcuts):

Access Control has been available for a spell. RIM is offering NFC keys for accessing the secure element. All one needs to do is request the NFC keys from RIM https://www.blackberry.com/SignedKeys/nfc-form.html and then head on over to HID and grab** the SIO DTK (Dev Tool Kit) Overview | HID Global

**a tad more complicated than just grabbing
