Hi, I just bought a curve 8320 on ebay. it's brand new but branded Vodafone. I currently live in China and use a prepaid China Mobile sim.

My problem is that the wifi does not work. When i try to connect, I can detect the networks, but it cannot connect to them.

Also, I tried to download various google apps and i received an error saying that they were not compatible with my blackberry.

I previously had an 8820 which was new and unbranded and which worked perfectly fine (wifi, google apps, etc.) using this same sim. I did some google searches and it seems like perhaps the vodafone branding is the problem? Is there a way around this? Perhaps by completely wiping the system and installing a non-branded operating system or software? Is that possible?

Am pretty new to this so any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks!
