    Hey All,

I just switched to blackberry as I will be needing it for work. Got the Bold yesterday and other then the compatibility issues with my mac, I'm already highly addicted!

The main reason I wanted it was so I could work while on the go, and I assumed that I would create, edit, and work on word documents and have them sync with my mac. So that my files are always up to date on the mac and the BB.... is this possible?

    Any help would be appreciated!

Documents to go does this. In order to create a new file you'd have to pay for the premium version. If you don't, you can still open files and access them. If you don't pay a workaround would be to email yourself blank office files and anytime you want to create a file, open those. As far as syncing, I'm not really sure of a way to automatically sync files. Maybe someone else can help you with that

You will need to look for mac software that can sync files on the harddrive with files on removable media or other network computers. I use a software that does it on the PC, called SyncToy by Microsoft. It's brilliant - I use it to synch my PC with my BB and my Sandisk Cruzer USB flash drive and over the network with my laptop.

I have a folder on each device that I keep the files I'm working on, and if I update one I can sync it with the others. I think it's a little-known tool, but it's awesome.

But it's not even supported by microsoft, cos it's a tool that was created for photographers that want to sync their photo collections. I don't know why it's not more well-known!

Unfortunately, I don't know if there's anything like that available for the mac.

hey thanks guys! unfortunately, when i plug my bb into my mac it doesn't show up as something i can transfer files to. I thought it would show up like a hard drive or mem stick.... because im on a mac i have downloaded pocket mac, but it doesn't give the option to sync or transfer word files..... anyone out there that used mac and can help me learn how to transfer word files onto my bb bold?

SyncToy sounds like something I can really use. Can't wait to read more about it when I get back to my PC.
